June 28, 2021 — Jon Tidwell obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of a business owner client in a premises liability suit based on ladder-related injuries.

In this premises liability case, an independent contractor fell from a defective ladder while working at the client’s business. The contractor claimed that his fall injuries were caused by the business owner’s negligence. Jon argued that the owner was entitled to judgment as a matter of law because the undisputed evidence negated the negligence claim. The Court agreed, and dismissed the firm’s client from the lawsuit.
